Dr. Irene F. Hunter
|
Dr. Hunter is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center where she received a certificate in Dental Hygiene. During dental school Dr. Hunter was selected for an honors program in treatment of gum disease. Upon graduation she also received an award for outstanding proficiency in dentistry for children.
In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Hunter serves on the advisory board for the dental assisting program at SPSCC. She is currently Chair of the Washington Dental Service Foundation, a foundation that seeks to eliminate dental disease in the State of Washington. She is a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Hunter believes in treating each patient as a valued and unique individual. She strives to offer the best dentistry in a warm, accepting atmosphere. Prevention of dental disease creates the best results for patients, so Dr. Hunter emphasizes the strategies and treatments that will help patients control their own dental disease and minimize the need for dental care.

Dr. Suzanne Kluh Winans
|
Dr. Winans is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Washington and practiced as a hygienist for 20 years. She was employed here at Tenino Family Dental for 10 of those years then returned to the University of Washington School of Dentistry to graduate with her Dental degree in 2004. She received many clinical and academic awards during her education and graduated in the top 10% of her class.
Patients are Dr. Winans first priority. Her philosophy of care and values include excellence in clinical care and focusing on each individual patient… she enjoys taking time with patients to listen carefully, examine thoroughly, discuss options and then develop a plan of care that works for each individual. Dr. Winans believes learning is a life long experience and takes many hours of continuing education annually as well as participating in the 60th Seattle Tucker Gold Study Club.
She is a member of the Thurston Mason County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. She volunteers to participate in the Washington Oral Health Foundation Outreach Program (www.wohf.org) and is an “in-office” volunteer provider for the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.

Lisa - Treatment and Financial Coordinator/Insurance
Lisa has been a long time Tenino resident. She graduated from Tenino High School then went on to attend South Puget Sound Community College. She currently lives in Tenino with her husband. She has worked in the dental field since 1981 and has been with Tenino Family Dental since 1989. Due to her experience as a dental assistant and her knowledge of dental financing and insurance she is a valuable asset to patients who have questions regarding both their treatment plans and their insurance coverage.
Lori - Treatment and Dental Hygiene Coordinator
Lori moved to Tenino from California with her husband and daughter in July of 2004. She became a new patient at Tenino Family Dental in April of 2005 and was so impressed with the practice she was more than willing to become an employee at the doctors request in May of 2005. Lori works at our front desk greeting patients as they arrive, answering phones and scheduling appointments. She strives to insure all of our patients are well taken care of.

Michelle - Dental Assisting
Michelle has lived in Thurston County most of her life and loves taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. She received an AA in Technical Arts in 2003 and graduated with her dental assisting degree in 2004. Michelle is currently studying for her Certification in Dental Assisting and is looking forward to many years in the dental field.
Vee - Dental Assistant
Vee is a local Tenino resident; she graduated from Tenino High School in 1978 and went on to receive her dental assisting degree from South Puget Sound Community College in 1979. She originally started working for Tenino Family Dental in 1985! She’s an efficient and knowledgeable assistant who loves working with patients in the field of dentistry.
Tiffani - Certified Dental Assistant
Tiffani was born and raised in Tumwater, WA. After completion of high school she went directly into the dental assisting program at South Puget Sound Community College graduating as a certified dental assistant with an Associate in Technical Arts degree in summer of 2005. Prior to graduation, during an assigned internship, Tiffani discovered Tenino Family Dental and decided to stay. She has developed her love for dentistry while providing a friendly, personable approach to quality care for her patients. Tiffani is also a very talented gymnastics coach and enjoys spending time at the gym helping her students perfect their skills.
Sarina - Certified Dental Assistant
Sarina attended Eaton Technicals’ dental assisting program, graduated in 1991 and became a Certified Dental Assistant in 1993. She particularly enjoys assisting with crown and bridge procedures where she gets to utilize her expanded dental assisting skills. She currently lives in Lacey with her husband and their two children.
Christina - Certified Dental Assistant
Christina grew up in Tenino and is a Tenino High School graduate. She has worked in the community since 1989 and has been a dental assistant at Tenino Family Dental since 2000. In 2006 Christina took her Dental Assisting National Board Exam and became a Certified Dental Assistant. She feels very fortunate to have been a patient at Tenino Family Dental for over 17 years and is quick to share that with each new patient. Her home away from the office is with her husband and three children in Chehalis.
Tara - Certified Dental Assistant
Tara grew up here in Tenino and began working for Tenino Family Dental Center in 1992. In 1994 she became a Certified Dental Assistant and continues to maintain her certification by attending continuing dental education courses that meet requirements of the Dental Assisting National Board. Tara strives to make each and every patient feel comfortable and knowledgeable about their dental visit.

Carol - Registered Dental Hygienist
Carol, her husband, and two daughters live in Chehalis. She has worked as a dental hygienist with Tenino Family Dental since 2005 and feels more at home here than anywhere she has ever worked. Carol grew up in Calgary, Alberta where she practiced as a hygienist with her father and brother, who are both dentists, for 9 years. Carol has over 20 years of experience and loves interacting with patients.
Tracy - Registered Dental Hygienist
Tracy graduated from Clark College Dental Hygiene School in Vancouver, WA. She is from Chehalis, where she currently resides with her husband and two children. She has been with Tenino Family Dental since 1995 and enjoys the patient relationships she has developed over the years.
Nikki - Dental Hygiene
Nikki grew up and lives in Chehalis with her husband and their three children. She graduated from Clark College with her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1997. She has been at Tenino Family Dental since June of 2008 and enjoys the relationships she is building with her dental hygiene patients. In her spare time she enjoys working with her horses.
